Delivery

Ok. So you're ready to place an order - but when will you get it?

Rest assured, even with our standard delivery service, we always send your order as quickly as we can. Whenever possible, items are shipped the next (business) day, if not the same day.  The only time your order won't be sent straight away is if its not in stock - and we'll let you know this before you order it, so there's no surprises!

All deliveries are trackable - as soon as your order has been sent, we will email you with a tracking reference number so you can follow your parcel's progress.

Orders under 20kg  are generally sent via Australia Post, and do require a signature on delivery. If no one is home to accept delivery, it will be left at your local post office for collection. (Generally they will leave a card at your door or in the letterbox advising you of this).

Orders over 20kg or items which are too big for the post are sent via road freight (Toll/Ballantynes in Brisbane and TNT Riteways Express for all other areas). Delivery times will vary depending on your location.

You may be given an option to choose between TNT Express and TNT Express Heavy Items - delivery times are the same for both modes - just pick the cheapest option.

Every delivery is traceable - you will receive an email containing your tracking reference number as soon as your item has been sent.

Items which are sent via road freight are sent with an 'ATLD' - Thats an 'authority to leave at door'. If you don't want your order to be left, we suggest organising delivery to your place of work.

Failed Delivery  If an item is returned to us because of a failed delivery (ie incorrect or incomplete address details, or the item has not been collected from the post office), we are generally charged failed delivery and re-delivery fees. If a failed delivery is deemed to be your fault, any penalty fees will be passed on to you.

Delivery Charges  Delivery rates are calculated according to item weight/size and destination postcode. The freight cost is based on your entire shopping cart contents, not per item. You can check your freight cost at any time, by clicking on the shopping cart in the top right hand corner, and entering your postcode.

The most economical shipping method will be automatically applied to your order. If your parcel is under 20 kg and is eligible for Australia Post shipping, you will also be given the option to upgrade to Express Post when you check out.

Do you have a returns policy? What happens if I change my mind?

If you change your mind within 30 days, and the packaging has not been opened, and is still in a saleable condition, then yes, you can return the item (at your own cost), for a full refund of the item purchase price. All freight/shipping costs remain the buyers responsibility.

My order has arrived, but is damaged. What do I do?

If your order has been damaged in transit, please let us know straight away. Take some photos of both the item and the packaging, and email them, along with your name and order reference number to sales@homeandoutdoor.com.au

We will get back to you within 24 hours (or the next business day).
